Adjunct Prof Steve Gerondakis

Professor Gerondakis is an accomplished, internationally recognised research leader in molecular biology. His expertise covers:
· Molecular and cellular immunology
· Transcription and gene regulation
· Cellular and molecular aspects cancer biology
· Signal transduction
· Cell biology and differentiation
o 132 referred research publications, >12,500 citations and H index of 62.
o Funding includes 3 NHMRC Program Grants, numerous NHMRC Project grants & 2 Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of America Program grants.
o Receipt of Leukemia Society, American Cancer Society and Cancer Research Institute Fellowships and NHMRC fellow (1998-2017).
o Career appointments at the Walter and Eliza Hall Institute of Medical Research, Burnet Institute, Monash University Departments of Hematology (Alfred Hospital Precinct) and Biochemistry. Currently Adjunct Professor at Monash University.
o Served on and chaired numerous NHMRC Project and Fellowship panels, member of Queensland Cancer Foundation Fellowship committee and an external expert member of various national and international institute review committees.
o Invited plenary speaker at numerous national and international conferences including Keystone and Cold Spring Harbor sponsored meetings
