Prof Tim Fry

Professor Tim Fry is an Honorary Professor and former Dean of the School of Economics, Finance and Marketing at RMIT University. He has published extensively in the fields of cultural economics, consumer demand systems, compositional data analysis, micro-econometrics and quantitative models in marketing. In addition to his scholarly research, teaching and supervision Tim has extensive experience in academic consulting, industry partnership building and media engagement.
Tim has a collaborative research funding portfolio valued at over $1M including five ARC Discovery and Linkage projects, and multiple grants from industry and government.
Tim completed his PhD at the University of Manchester in 1988 and relocated to Australia in 1989. He worked at Monash University and the University of Melbourne before joining RMIT in 2003. He is a member of the Association of Cultural Economics International, the Econometric Society, the Economic Society of Australia, the Royal Economic Society, and the Royal Statistical Society.
