Michael Bartos is a writer and researcher in public health and ethics. He was lead editor for the Independent Panel for Pandemic Preparedness and Response, which reported to the World Health Assembly in May 2021. He is Honorary Associate Professor in the School of Sociology at Australian National University.

Extensive experience in strategy and communication products for high level decision makers in both Australian and global health contexts.
Since returning to Australia in mid-2017, Michael has been based in south western Victoria, where he has been appointed to the Board of the district hospital and collaborated with the local shire and the town's business development committee on strategies for improving well-being and economic development.
