Sarah Wendt is internationally recognised as the leading expert on survivors’ experience of domestic and family violence and applying the implication of that experience to social work practice and professional development. She is an engaged scholar of feminist social work and public policy, with deep connections to the profession, human service sectors, and women’s shelters. Sarah has received numerous ARC DP and LP grants as well as Category one ANROWS grants and has served on the ARC College of Experts.
Sarah is Professor of Social Work, Director of SWIRLS, and was appointed Matthew Flinders Fellow at Flinders University, a title awarded in recognition of her outstanding leadership and achievements in social work research at both the national and international level.
