Dr Josefine Raasch
SENIOR ASSOCIATE
Dr Josefine Raasch is an ethnographer of knowledge practices and senior learning designer focusing on knowledge production in educational settings.
As a researcher, Josefine worked at the Excellence Cluster Spaces of Anthropological Knowledge at Ruhr University Bochum, Germany. She has also worked with the STS based group Laboratory: Anthropology of Environment | Human Relations, a research group for the ethnographic inquiry into ecologies, infrastructures, bodies and knowledges at the Institute for European Ethnology, Humboldt University Berlin, Germany. Josefine has taught at both universities as well as the University of Vienna. She was a member of the editorial board of EASST Review, the journal of the European Association for the Study of Science and Technology from 2014 till 2018. Her research activities focussed on the production of historical knowledge in classrooms, of knowledge about children in professional environments, and in civic and democratic organisations.
Josefine also works as a senior learning designer at Germany’s highest ranked business school creating digital learning experiences. As a senior learning designer, she has developed an impact measurement toolkit as well as various online programs and is involved in edtech recruitment.
She is skilled in research methodologies, ethnography, Science and Technology Studies, Education, pedagogy, and digital education.
