Dr Jess Rodgers

Jess commenced their academic career with a PhD in media, communication and journalism. Their interest in LGBTIQA+ issues and social justice led them to sociology and criminology. Other areas of focus have included embedded creatives in the creative industries workforce and investigating women’s use of their local areas for physical activity. Most recently, they have made significant research contributions to projects on policing domestic and family violence, rural, regional and remote policing, and the experiences of academics with disabilities. Bringing professional copy editing skills and technical aptitude to academic work, Jess has provided support across a range of disciplines in the preparation of manuscripts, ethics applications, tender bids, and grant applications.
