Prof Lawrence Cram
SENIOR ASSOCIATE
Lawrence Cram is Emeritus Professor at ANU and a visiting scholar at CDU and Sydney University. He has extensive experience in tertiary education and public sector research, including practice, funding, administration, and leadership. He has engaged with government and business to promote successful research commercialization at CSIRO, the University of Sydney, the Australian National University and Charles Darwin University.

Lawrence’s research contributions include analysis and interpretation of observations of the Sun, stars and galaxies, development of computer programs to create and investigate astronomical images, and studies of university performance measures. His contributions to tertiary education include mathematics, physics and complex systems pedagogy, scholarship of teaching, innovative postgraduate curricula, and institution-wide academic quality.
Lawrence is a Fellow of the Institute of Engineers Australia, the Royal Astronomical Society, and the Australian Institute of Physics. He was surprised and humbled to be appointed a Member of the Order of Australia in 2021.
