Dr Dora Horvath
SENIOR ASSOCIATE
Dr Dora Horvath is a research and development manager with twenty years’ experience in the Australian higher education sector. She has also worked as a project manager and consultant in the not-for-profit and private sectors in Australia and Europe.
Dora has a wealth of experience managing multi-disciplinary research programs of scale, designing and implementing research capability building programs, securing competitive research funding, brokering research partnerships, and critically assessing university-wide research management practices and policies. In addition to her detailed knowledge of ARC and NHMRC funding schemes, she has expertise with European Commission funding including EU Centre grants and the Jean Monnet grant schemes.
Dora holds a PhD in Political Science from the University of Melbourne, a Masters degree in International Relations and BA(Hons) in Economics from Corvinus University, Hungary.
She is currently the Manager of the Research Contracts and Grant Management team at Swinburne University of Technology.
Her previous appointments include:
La Trobe University: Research Development Manager; Business Development Manager; and Team Leader (2010-2020)
Australian National University: National Europe Centre Manager (2008-09)
University of Melbourne: Research and Grants Officer (2002-07).
