Stephanie has over 20 years’ experience in the health and medical research sector. She began her career as a cancer researcher discovering several novel genes as part of her PhD conducted at the QIMR Berghofer Medical Research Institute. After completing a Graduate Diploma in Journalism to broaden her horizons, she moved into the not-for-profit sector, initially working in medical research advocacy and subsequently holding executive positions in several not-for-profit organisations.
Stephanie’s expertise spans health and medical research communications, strategy development and research management. She has extensive experience in creating, writing and editing a wide range of communications materials including journal articles, conference papers, advocacy documents, media releases, newsletters, website content and research reports aimed at the general public. She has devised and implemented research strategies and managed grant operations for a number of not-for-profit organisations. Throughout her career, Stephanie has worked closely with researchers and clinicians across many disciplines and professional areas in addition to engaging with members of the community.
